Intra Club Tourney

Dont forget about this Sundays club tournament on the 31st of July

Have you thought about the bowl of salad you will bring? Have you decided to go for the steak or the chicken your your BYO menu? Are you going to prepare your powder gatorade or powerade, or the ultimate players (student) first choice the staminade?

Ive had a quick look at the betting odds on sportsbet.com.au. They have the short price favourites the Heroes at 1:100 odds to win. Those kind of odds havent been seen since Collingwood played the Suns last week!!!!

Can the Discheads join forces and bring it to the other two teams and stamp their dominance of last year upon the green and orange?

OR

Will the grand final runners Agent Orange up show us all who is the real top gangster and close the suitcase full of their winnings?

Bring your chairs, bring your picnic rugs, bring the kitchen sink do what ever you have to do for your team to win the day.

Training 24th July

Training is on tomorrow afternoon, 3-5pm, Moore Park, Indooroopilly. Focus this week will be on some of the finer points of throwing... faking, breaking the mark, pivoting etc. As well as the usual pick-up game!

Sunday afternoon training is ON tomorrow (depending on rain). 3-5pm.

There is a venue change because there is an AFL game at the Kenmore ground. Discheads Vs Heroes Vs Agent Orange

On the 31st we are holding the Heroes first intra club competition!!!!!

FAQs:
What does this mean?: Well all three teams can come together on a Sunday afternoon and play each other in a round robin competition and see who holds the balance of power in the HUC

Can I play if I didnt play in a BUML team? Yes of coarse, as with any event it will be hard to pull whole team numbers on the day and we understand that. So if you played BPL, wonderwomen etc etc or just on other various teams throughout the Brisbane league calendar AND you still call heroes home WE'D LOVE YOU TO COME DOWN and pick up and share in the fun

What is the cost? At this stage Im planning on keeping it free as can be
(We might have to cover costs like food etc but really thats fairly cheap, ill approach the treasurer about it) Stay tuned for any updates in this area

Whoes brain child is this anyways? All of the captains and powers to be thought this would be a great event

Now I know its a short timeframe but this is going to be the event of the (mid) year and surely not one to be missed!!

Training is on again tomorrow the 10th of July. 3-5pm. AFL field at Kenmore Rugby Club (Fig Tree Pocket exit off the Centenary Highway). Bring a black and white shirt.
