BUML Rd:3 - Preview

Well its a Monday, and that means only one thing - its  BUML night baby!

Given the size of BUML these days, I'm only gonna do the Heroes Club teams - cause that's just how I roll.

Round 3:

Div2:
Heroes vs Disc-iples at Easts Rugby 3
Last Week:
Heroes - Won against Agents
Dis-iples - Lost by 11 against  Discheads

Heroes are going to dominate, well they should be aiming to at least. Disc-iples coming of a second round lose against Discheads - seems to suggest they might be either rusty or Discheads were less rusty. Heroes do have a committed team with a ton of subs - look for Brad to run all night, and Sean to throw bombs deep. Also Disc-iples handling line lacks depth - even for Div2 - Heroes should play a zone all night long. Only Question is: Puppy, Jap, Clam, Pommy or Slammer 2-3-2 ?

Heroes by many - 8

Agents vs Discheads at Gap SHS
Last Week:
Agents - Lost against Agents
Discheads - Won by 11 against Disc-iples

OHH Yeah! Intra Games are the best games of the season! I love them! You get a chance to burn your mates deep, and make fun of there force as well, all with a massive smile on your face and the best spirit in Brisbane Ultimate. Agents, although losing last week, were down Sandra Poon - a true power player to say the least. With the likes of her on the line the Discheads will have to be on their toes. Discheads appear to be gelling really well together - a trait that this team is famous for- and marching points on O all the way down the field for scores and getting Ds as well.

Keys for Dischead success: conversion rates, both on O and D.
For Agents: Using rookie boys - who are impressing all those that see them play - Chris Arther and Toby Alexander nice work guys.

Discheads by 3.

Div1:
Lanterns vs PUD at Gap SHS
Last Week:
Lanterns - Lost against Lovers
PUD - Lost against Dyspnoeics

This should be a close game. Luckily Lanterns have got these guys early, cause once they gel together properly - they have players that can push any team in the league. Lanterns have played more as a team but still experiencing some flow problems - frustrating I can report.

Lanterns: Need to slow the game down and keep our heads and our cool. Hit the shots we know we can hit, and don't push the trigger on the ones we can't. We also need to ramp up the D, and shut the play makers out - tough, tight marks.

PUD: Force the Lanterns to -frankly- freak/stress out.

Lanterns by 5.
