BUML mid season review_mark 2

Dyspnoeics

Dyspnoeics are a BUML tradition arent they? they ve been sporting their jerseys for a while and they even get a mention on the Zone website, so they must be a decent team right? well they are currently above Heroes but for some reason they’ve played 11 along with every other team, except heroes have only 10 (but thats for another media channel). Dyspnoeics look to the firey Andy Lankowski for most of their handling and is also supported by the man with the self announced 'best nickname in brisbane ultimate' - Mansauce (Andrew McCasker), but didnt even make a recent BUB nickname poll, something of which he was dirty about, but he is an angry man. Final thought, kit out everyone of your new players with new jerseys – get it together Mansauce.

Mellow Yellow
The good old mellow yellow have been forced into a re-building stage this season as the main stays John Good and his lovely wife left over seas. MY have been previous BUML league winners and are the single team that Heroes LOVE to play. The rival games for the last few years have been great and always played in the best spirit. But to their team this season. Who can go past Bronwyn Geddes, Flux-ie, Carla Ziser and they have even managed to get David Campbell to come and play for them. This season they have been placed in the B pool, but looking at their record being nice and even, you probably cant complain there. Especially with some new players.

Baby Chimis

Is Don, Is Good. What else is there to say about the Baby Chimichangas? well they play with Fatty and Peta, but importantly this is the baby Chimis. So they are blooding lots of newbies but Im sure with the guidance of aL, theyll be hucking it end to end in no time. This team describes themselves as having Red Shirts and loud pants. And loud they are. I wanna see the chimi pants uploaded somewhere and also the fatty logo. Maybe we ll throw it up here. Chimis are always going to be a hard game when their whole line turns up. On their night we’ll go with any other team.

  1. wtf? mellow yellow have 12 games and we only have 10! I think we're meant to have their draw.

I'm thinking of making my own site - www.bumlladder.com that is actually accurate.

  4. You gotta remember, with the ladder, that as opposed to many other sports, the first differentiation between teams on identical points isn't the goal difference. First is a countback, to games played between those teams, and only if that fails to separate them (i.e. played 2 against each other, won one each) does points difference become relevant.

Refer to JdR's post on the Brisbane Ultimate Blog from a little while back: http://brisbaneultimatedisc.blogspot.com/2010/08/bpl-controversy-commentary-goal.html

Not sure how this might affect the standings in our particular league - as you said, it's hard enough to decipher what on earth's going on with the schedule any given week. Nevertheless, thought it was worth noting.

  5. Are you sure about the goal difference thing for BUML Starky?

Not going on points difference first seems.....seeing as this is a family blog site, let's say it seems odd.
