The Incredible HUC and I have been discussing whether or not it is cool to self-promote oneself on the blog, particularly in third person.
Let's take a look at some examples:
Heroes took the last point with a huck from Carl to Dave with relative ease to win 9-8.
From: Got away with this one (April 2010)
The time cap was looming over the match and so the long huck became very valuable. Carl managed to huck it long and Dave caught it in the end zone.
From: Its just like kissing your baby sister (May 2010)
Notable performances: ... Carl with 4 intercepts [shameless self promotion ;) ]From: Heroes get hard force on Frisky Time (July 2010)
This was quickly answered by Carl with a first touch of the game backhand-huck to Chris Fox. This was the spark! and heroes lifted. From: UQ roll up their roster & swing it around as a club (August 2010)
What can we decipher from this? Well, we all know Rick is the best player in Heroes Australian Ultimate so what's the point bickering over whether or not we should allow this sort of behaviour on the blog?
What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments.

I feel awkward doing it with myself.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a problem seeing others do it with themselves.
im sure if you look at all of these in context there will be many other mentions of other players also there as well... If I make a play that was awesome im gonna share it, but likewise if someone else does it, it will also be shared. Like if Rick ever gets a layout D instead of just missing it :P
ReplyDeleteAll I can deduce from this is that a huck to Dave long = win
