Heroes All-Star(k)s

The Heroes All-Stars will be representing the club at the:
Brisbane Indoor Ultimate Championships
This is the second year of its running but the first for the Heroes club (we'll win the team of the year yet!)

Date: Wednesday 11 August 2010 (Ekka Public Holiday)
Time: Doors Open at 10.15am – Game on at 11am – All done by 4pm
Venue: Clem Jones Centre, Zahel St entrance, Carina (same as last year) Look for the entrance next to the softball fields (the pool entrance will be closed).
What: For Brisbane folks, Indoor Ultimate is something different, but its more common in those parts of the world with snow. It’s a great change of pace – very fast, no wind, and even beginners can throw from endzone to endzone.
Who: Get your team together and get registered – space is limited! Roster size is maximum 8 players. 5 on the court at one time, max. three per gender.
How much? $130 per team – includes courts, insurance, prizes. Or $18 per individual.

**Note: Stealing from other peoples blogs is a crime, but in this instance I felt JDR wouldnt mind.
Heroes are probably looking good for numbers with 7 players, but if you're a girl and interested, drop Luke Stark an email and organize to play

  1. Who's tipping Heroes for a top 3 finish?

  3. @Anonymous, I'd back us!
The women we have are definitely our strong point, with star imports from Canada and South Australia. A team could do a lot worse than playing Steph and Robyn savage for a day. ;)
And our men are nothing shabby either, with Heroes Halibut MVP Bevan, Uni Games rep Sean, squad captain, founding member and fittest guy ever DStrel, South Australian star import Adam, and hopefully-adequate-substitute Starky!
I'd say a podium finish is the least we can hope for. :D
    123HEROES!

  4. No offence to Heroes, but i think there are only 3 teams with girls making them top three by technicality at this point...

  5. Bullshit Jack, when I last looked we were one of 2 teams with girls, and we actually have 3 now so it's game on, bitch.
